More about London

This weekend we made a trip to the Southbank with our neighbours.  Loads of us - 6 of them and 4 of us.  We went for a ride on the London Eye.  Because of other commitments, we were only able to meet at 3pm.  Travel was delayed even further when we got stuck on the train (snow on the tracks??) so by the time we actually got on to the Eye, it was around 4.30pm and we were getting worried that we had left it too late.  But this was one of those good fated days - we timed it so perfectly that we were able to watch the stunning scene of the sun setting behind Houses of Parliament and took loads of photos with lots of 'orange' in the sky.  I have to credit the first photo (because I promised!) to our neighbours son Thomas - fantastic photo!!

Mickey Mouse was also hanging around Southbank that evening.  And I couldn't resist taking the photo of this shop on St.Gabriels Wharf - the whole shop, inside and out was painted in this gorgeous warm pink - we (that is all the girls) were wowed by it.
